Case Study

While interviewing for a global company, I was tasked with a case study. I made sure to showcase my skills by producing a 50-page branded and detailed analysis.

The base information for the study included some internal team organization details such as language and location, and a sample datasheet with over 14,000 line items.

Based on this information, I had to:

• Demonstrate how I would define regions for NorAm,

• How to build teams to optimize for capacity planning,

• How to best serve the customer base and ensure the best SLA with the least disruption for the agents,

• How to morph the current organization into a new one,

• Provide a new adjusted org chart,

• A strategic plan on how to communicate the changes to the new organization with samples.

Web Development

Whether for my personal needs or when serving clients or the companies I worked for, I found some opportunities to leverage online sales or services advertising.

From defining a brand’s identity to sending out thoughtful confirmation emails, I make sure to focus on a stellar user experience, user-friendly navigation, and an easy way to manage all resources on-the-go!

Travel planning

Whether for my personal trips or when serving clients, I always make sure to research and plan activities for everyone to enjoy, with options to allow for quick changes depending on weather, budget etc. I make it my priority to experience “living like a local” as much as possible and prioritize experiences over touristy things.

I always start trip planning with at least a budget, desired locations, desired dates, and collecting travelers’ interests.

Then, I start my research using several trusted sources such as Atla Obscura, Trip Advisor, Google reviews etc. in order to create a list of points of interest.

Lastly, I map out all destinations to visualize the trip and optimize the routes and itinerary.

I also use the Wanderlog app to gather all my trip info as it offers some very helpful features:

• Attach all travel confirmations such as hotel and flight bookings,

• Use AI to optimize itineraries,

• Make suggestions for nearby attractions,

• Keep track of my budget,

• Be able to share real-time itineraries with my loved ones.

Road Trip to Monument Valley

I planned an epic road trip from Austin, TX to Monument Valley, UT. We woke up every morning to a new scenery and experienced once-in-a-lifetime adventures, such as a visit of Hunts Mesa with the Navajo, a hot balloon ride, sleeping in a hogan, etc.

Paris (France)

I had the opportunity to spend a couple of days in Paris, and realized that during all my time living in France, I actually never took the time to visit the city.

London (UK)
Charente Maritime (France)

After a seven-year absence, I recently had the opportunity to return to my birth country. This trip was a chance to revisit memories that had existed only in my mind until now, and to create new ones. I wanted to capture these experiences through photographs and videos, ensuring they remain vivid for years to come. The Charente-Maritime region holds a special place in my heart, as it is where I spent a significant portion of my childhood. I took this opportunity to share its beauty with my husband, introducing him to a part of my heritage that is deeply meaningful to me.

Nantes (France)

Nantes is where I went to high school. It’s a very vibrant and artsy scene. I enjoyed going back to the places I used to hang out in and see old friends.

Turtlepocalypse

I started noticing a bunch of turtles in a property I managed. As the events were unfolding, I realized that this was uncanny enough to write a funny story about it!

This is the longest post I’ve ever written, it recounts about 2 hours of today’s adventures. It involves turtles, an oven door, a leaf skimmer, and zero brain cells.

Since an intense storm we’ve had two weeks ago, turtles kept showing up and ending up stuck in fenced area, in a property I manage. Been taking care of this house for 10 years, it’s literally never happened before.

See drawing to explain a tad more. There is a fence separating the neighbor’s house and ours (yellow line), there is a fence in our lower terrace area (green line) overlooking the creek with no access to it, and I drew the assumed path the turtles follow (red arrows).
These turtles seem to be coming from the creek down at the far end of the neighbor’s property, go up a wild hill to the neighbor’s backyard, then dig under the shared fence, end up in our yard, then somehow roll down 6 steps, take a bath in the pool, then decide to go back to the creek by getting down 8 more steps. Except they can’t reach the creek, since the lower terrace is fenced in, and these are 18+ lbs turtles, so they don’t fit under the metal fence (see pic) and can’t go through. Even if they did, they’d fall 8+ ft and probs hurt themselves.
Red-eared sliders are protected in Texas. See pic, they don’t really have a friendly smiley face. They snap, and scratch, real quick. The issue is that since it’s getting hot AF, if I don’t pass by every other day to pick em up and put them back in the creek (which I can’t access so I’d have to literally throw or drop the turtles and that’s def outta question), or get them back up to the upper yard where hopefully they’d get back where they came from, then they’d end up starving and dying. So eventually I’d have to pick them up again, and as much as they’re a snapping hazard when alive, I’d rather deal with live turtles than dead ones.
And y’all, we’re talking about 1 to 4 heavy-ass turtles stuck EVERY DAY. Not exactly sustainable and reasonable for me to be full-time Chief Turtle Officer.

Oh, and we’re right in the middle of turtle mating season.

So today, I talked to our cool neighbor, Chris, as I know he loves wildlife. We thought about welding an opening in the metal fence down by the creek, and adding a turtle ramp leading to his yard right by the creek for a safe two-way “turtle crossing” option. That way they’d be able to have a turtle-loop.

But I don’t wanna fix a turtle situation to end up having a coyote situation or something similar due to a fence opening.

So as Chris and I carried the heavy turtles back up, we placed them under his fence to show them the way out, and we decided to mark them with paint so we’d be able to track them and see if we had any repeat offenders, or if it was the same 4 turtles being dumb, or if we have a bigger problem with even more turtles.

As we’re marking one turtle as “Green” and start doing the same for “Black”, Black runs out. Like, she RUNS. We can’t even grab her. She’s really pissed and snappy. Fine, we marked one, at least.
I start gathering supplies, whatever I can find, to build a temporary fence so at least they can’t go down by the pool area. That way, if they stay in the backyard, they can freely and easily go back to Chris’ and hopefully find the creek, which is likely their natural and preferred habitat.

3 mins later, as I turn around with some cornhole boards and a spare oven door (yes, we’re doing whatever we can to save turtles here) to craft my temporary fence, Green is gone. GONE. HOW. WHERE. I text Chris (who had gone back to his yard) to ask if he has seen Green. He says no. So she’s likely somewhere on my side.

I look for her. And I mean, now, she literally has a neon lime green spot on her back. She probs glows in the dark at this point. Can’t find her. No way she’s back down where she shouldn’t be, right?

I go by the pool. I see a neon green spot in the water. She is sunbathing, see pic. She’s chillin’. She sees me approach, she freaks out and starts swimming away.
I’m wearing high heels as I was initially planning on going out tonight until this whole turtle adventure started. Now I gotta catch that goddamn turtle.

I grab the leaf skimmer, start trying to get her out from the deepest area of the pool so I can hopefully grab her, but she swims real fast. Is she playing or is she scared? She’s WILD. She’s having fun.

I finally get her in the leaf skimmer. I can barely lift her with this, I hear the skimmer crack a little, I make it rest on my thigh to grab it strong. I lift her, I get her out. See video.

I place her in a box. Now she’s a box turtle, haha. I clean up the mess, put my temporary fence together using the supplies I previously gathered, make sure there is no way any turtle will go through that barricade, and release Green. Put her back in the hole she had dug out under the fence. Alright, see ya. But…

THIS IS NOT THE END.

I get a drink. I’m relieved. Turtle crisis averted. I’m super sweaty at this point. I go sit down in the living room to rest, start working on my laptop.

Then I hear a rattling sound. Like a squirrel on the roof but it’s coming from much lower than that and it’s close. Very close.

I see something moving behind the French door. I see a paw. A green paw. Here’s Green, knocking at the door. I can’t even. Is she harassing me? Is she in love with me? Possibly both. She goes her way, I go mine. I’m done with this for today. See last video.

There will likely be a follow-up to this. Stay tuned for more on the #turtlegate.
